Return & Exchange Policy

Returns


If you've changed your mind and need to return an item, any store collected purchases can be returned up to 30 days from the date of purchase.


In-line with our returns policy, your item(s) needs to be:

  • Unopened

  • Unused

  • In its original packaging (with the tags)

  • In a re-saleable condition

  • With its proof of purchase

Refunds will be processed by the original payment method. If you paid on card, it can take up to 7 days to appear back in your account.

 

Exchanges

 

Exchanges are dependent on current stock levels. If we’re unable to offer an exchange, we can process a refund via the original payment method.


If you paid on card, refunds can take up to 7 days to appear back in your account.

 

Faulty items

 

If your item is faulty, please contact us on 01395 513310 to talk to one of our customer care team. If you do need to return an item, you can take it to Housewares, 22 Fore Street, Sidmouth, EX10 8AL.

Guarantee Of Electrical Goods

Customer gets one-year guarantee with housewares for any electrical goods. These goods include kettles, toasters, slow cookers, mixers etc. It also includes kitchen and bathroom scales, phones, radios etc.

The customer has a one-year guarantee with Housewares. Those that offer extra guarantee must be registered with the manufacturer within 28 days of purchase. After the one-year guarantee with Housewares, you must contact the manufacturer with any issues.

The guarantee runs from the date the original product was purchased. (if replaced, guarantee still runs from the purchase date of the original product)

The receipt given with the product is the proof of purchase and therefore the guarantee. This should be kept by the customer and must be bought in with the faulty item in order for it to be returned or replaced.

If this receipt has not been kept, proof of purchase can also be a bank statement or contactless receipt.

Any electrical items that have been abused, misused or have any accidental damage, will not be replaced or refunded.

Any electrical items bought back should be tested if the fault is not obvious or visually seen.

Any electrical items bought before 14/12/20 this does not apply and guarantee will be as stated on the box.
